I liked it when the list of threads were ordered with those with the most recent posts at the top. That doesn't seem to happen anymore, can it be reinstated? It's not clear to me how they are ranked atm, it all feels a bit random.

Using Chrome on a Android phone the word 'search' isn't displayed. There's an almost invisible dark grey on black magnifying glass, and a small white square box to the right of that. Which is obviously fine once you know it's there...
Thanks @Cougar I wasn't aware that was an option. Now bookmarked as my preferred way to access the forum. Maybe just me, but I do wonder why that isn't the default way to order threads. Also, it seems you can only view a mix of the forums in post order, what was the old 'overview'. I can't see a way of ordering just the posts in (for example,) the bike forum in post order?
This is trivia btw, the forum has improved massively in recent days and is mostly behaving well for me now. It is a little quieter, hopefully that will pick up when it's bedded in and the final styling and navigation improvements are implemented.

There's a link at the top of the page to "Latest" that takes you to the link Cougar shared.
I think the posts in the Bike forum are sorted in the correct order, but it currently only shows when the thread was started, not when the last update was. So it'll say 6hrs ago, but that's when someone created it, rather than when someone replied to it.
EDIT: Actually the link there is on the desktop site, on mobile it's hidden in one of the 3 bar menus.
EDIT 2: Weird, it's quoting a different post to the one I chose...

I don't know, but I suspect the approach is to throw up a random theme which broadly works whilst they work on the big problems, then to worry about making the font a brighter shade of blue &c once the foundations are solid.
Ie, it's a work in progress, I do not expect this to be the final product (and Mark has said as much a few times now).
The thumbs up "like" for posts is a bit hard to use, not least because its hard to see that it worked, little difference between black and blue outline, if it were an option a solid blue would work better - posting seems better, this posted at 11:40 EDIT, appeared immediately

Appreciate that it tells you if there's a new post with a different colour icon, but currently just states the thread started date where it used to tell you the last reply date/time also.

That's how it was, but I could always see how many folk had Liked a post, at present I can't even see that (although, as with branes, I can see so and so reacted beneath a post).
I'm liking the new forum, it seems much improved to me - thanks to all the team for the hard work.
One that I've just spotted and not seen reported is that photos seem to come up in a lightbox, but sometimes not the right photo.
For example in TJ's travel thread, the picture of the motorbike from the side comes up with a larger version fine. If I click the picture of TJ in the motorbike, it comes up with a larger picture of a green valley (possible defaulting to the first picture in the gallery of uploads?).
The FoD off-piste thread seems to have had multiple replies since mine.... but none are showing up.
I started a new thread a few hours ago. People are replying to it so they must be able to see it but the only way I can find it is to go to my profile and look at my posting history, it’s not showing in the forums at all!

Something I've just noticed,
The swear filter word list has been improved. On the old forum it would translate effed as *, now we get *ed which makes it far more readable.
Still needs a link to the overview at the botom of the forum IMO, but everything else seems good to me. I haven;t tried posting a photo yet though....

Well, that was unexpected. If you type three asterisks rather than **** it reads it as emphasis.

It's pretty standard behaviour across many platforms, but it's irritating I agree (It's the default behaviour in Facebook replies but Facebook posts is the opposite way around, I never did quite understand that). It really should be a configurable option. I tend to compose multi-paragraph messages in Notepad these days.

Not a New Forum problem as the old one did the same, but it really would be great to have fixed.
I've got into the habit of doing <Shift><Return> on the desktop site but I've never had any luck getting something to work on Android (anyone know if it can be done?) so tend to write them in an email and paste it in.
There is one, it's a little harder to spot on mobile as it's just the icon, but it's there.

Delay in replies actually appearing. Currently 26 mins on the midweek picture thread, says I'm the most recent poster, but my 2 posts with photos ain't showing.
Also, the actual creating a post with photos is a bit cumbersome (on a Pixel 8). When the photos upload into reply box (massively over-sized), it then seems to be impossible to type back into the box, eg to add more words/explanation etc.

They end up appearing in some kind of random order! I select then and upload them in the order I've taken them (so first to last on a ride for example) but when they appear, it's in some kind of arse-about-tit order!
Not sure why? Maybe it's too do with the file size of the respective photos, so eg the smallest ends up being uploaded first, and then appearing first in the photo, and so on?
(It doesn't really matter much to anyone but me, as no one else - except a couple of local stalkers mates I ride with - will have any idea of which photos come from which point on my route! But, be nice if it could be added to the list to sort please).
Also, is there a tool that can be added to the photo selection process that gives you the option to reduce the file size? Some of my photos are over the 4.9MB limit, and I don't know how to resize them before uploading?

I see there is a subscribe to topic tick box but that doesn’t seem to do anything. I tick it but then have to leave thread and when go back it’s still unticked?
Is the colour scheme here to stay? Not sure what it is about it, but I'm not drawn in to the forum. Or is it the layout? Hopefully I'm not whining, it's only cosmetic and might still be getting used to it - thought I'd ask.

I'm amazed it's not been mentioned every four posts for the last 22 pages.
It's patchy though some threads work fine. Others don't.

For the first time ever I'm getting Adds. Both on the Samsung phone and the PC
Ads have stopped for me on mobile (iOS) with the new forum (was ridiculous before that). Still got them on desktop though (been like that for a looooooong time) even when logged in.
