Try typing a number, see what happens
I can’t- as soon as I touch the page no box, the list of pages appears and I can’t key in numbers directly
I don't think this post was intended for the thread it seems to have ended up in
https://singletrackworld.com/forum/postid/13528997/
Also the link post pop up dialogue had invisible text for me so I had to guess how to create the link above.
testing as I can't seem to reply to a current thread...
Posting seems haphazard and inordinately slow. 02:15 minutes (back to fill this in after I’ve clicked Add Reply. iOS and Chrome.
Not being able to single click to the end of a thread is doing my head in. Arrrggh
And clicking the last post icon on this thread doesn't do anything at all (whereas it does work on other threads)
@ahsat has tried resetting her password, but it’s not working. Any ideas?
This may have been covered but is there a way to make threads appear in time order? On my Android mobile there all over the place.
I'd post a pic but I can't work it out 😆
Hmmm maybe just me but generally worse than ever tbh…

As above!
Painful, last post duplicated then followed up and disappeared (maybe it will show up later?)
I'm looking forward to the return of the Watches n+1 thread and the long running Tractor Top trumps one too
How do you jump to the last/most recent page in a thread, without having to hit ‘next’, wait for ten minutes for the next page to load, then rinse and repeat? Honestly, life is too short when the thread is five pages long, if it’s 20 or 30, or more, Satan will be hosting the Winter Olympics before anyone gets to the most recent posts!
This thread is 10 pages long, I’ll find a spare half hour tomorrow to page through to see if there’s a better, quicker way.
There is a new theme coming Monday morning that might help, but at the moment there are two slightly faster ways. The first is that just underneath where it says 'bike forum' at the top of each thread is bit of text that says ' last post' and although it doesn't look clickable it actually is. If you click on it it will often but not always juli you too the last page and last post. However this isn't completely reliable for some reason
The alternative is on the right hand side at the top of each thread it says 'page X of Y'. If you click on the number X (e.g. 1) then you get a drop down where you can quickly scroll to the last page rather than clicking through 1 page at a time
Satan can't afford the bung to the IOC fortunately
Luckily, Trump has taken a few days off his insanity so I'm not missing the collective angst of the Donald!Trump! thread 😏 😏 🙄
A number of the forum features do not work in Opera mobile.
Initial findings are:
No formatting buttons for post replies
Only a very small text box for entering replies
Does not automatically go to the last post read.
Was this tested on anything other than chrome and safari?
Sonos springs to mind.

(Also had to post this from Opera as in chrome it just said "working" and did nothing.
Probs going to have duplicate posts now.
Confusing that some links are blue, at least one is white.
I think you may be aware but I seem to have the kiss of death. Any thread I post on dissappears. Is it a hint? 🤣
May be being stupid here, but is there a way of seeing responses to subscribed threads from the overview page, or changing the email alerts?
Hoping the following will disappear when the "old" website is switched off (technical term, clearly)
The new forum has several of the same problems as the old:
indexing is a mile out. This may be linked to the huge amounts of time some threads take to update with new posts (you can see that the post exists, but you can't see the post)
indexing is different logged out to logged in. A whole new world of posts appears
Occasional "password is incorrect" dialogue, e.g. pm Sunday
Sorry if its been answered but I have been away for a few days. How do I go to the last response in a thread?
Can’t login in this morning - all browser on Mac.
(only able to post as mobile already logged in).

You can't is the simple answer. Not without multiple click throughs
On the old forum, there was a link at the bottom which took you back to the overview page. Now there is a dropdown which doesn't have 'Overview' as an option.
Hope today’s update sorts things out as it’s unusable at the minute.

There's a last post link at the top of the thread that 'should' take you to the last post (auto-scroll the the next post of a thread you need to read also works). However, there's currently a problem.
Posts are registering as having been posted, but are getting stuck in the cache for hours. Consequently the forum tries to jump to the last post but fails to find it.
For example, as I type the last post of this thread is attributed to richmars but the last post actually appearing in the thread is welshfarmer's. When I post this, this will be the last post and will register as such, but may not show up in the thread for hours. By the time it shows there'll probably be another hidden last post. If a thread hasn't been posted to for a while and the attributed last post is also displayed in the thread, the Last Post link will work.
It'll presumably all get sorted out at some point, but in the meantime it's a real pain.
i started a new thread an hour ago, it hasn't come up, but it shows in my profile, it all seems a bit of a muddle at present..
Sorry if its been answered but I have been away for a few days. How do I go to the last response in a thread?
Press the sheet/pen icon next to 'Last post' top left of the thread.
Of course it doesn't seem to work for this thread, but it does seem to for others.
Sorry for the slowness, I am going to be working on this today
Just tracking the time
Forum not showing recent posts when you click into a thread.
Caching or indexing issue? I dunno what you call it but it's basically unusable now.
Refusing login on mobile as well.
Well this is all fine!…
Can’t see posts.
Can’t make posts
Further to my post ^^ the Topic Overview dropdown does allow you to see the latest posts.
You can read them in a pop-out box, even though they aren't visible on the thread. The problem is that it starts at post #1 of a thread, which is fine for a single page thread but isn't practical for a multi-page Odyssey
Insisting my password is wrong again so I can't log in on the PC... Is this to do with the new forum at all? Will it be fixed when the old one is turned off?
(For others experiencing this, it tends to resolve itself after a few hours)
I also notice there are 2 different login pages at the moment.
/login/ from the profile button and /sign-in/ from the bottom of a thread. Neither work! I assume it's the same thing in the backend. Anyway, glad to see the new one appears to have a redirect to the last viewed page 🙂
What's with the blue font?
Why wont my post show in the thread but is shown in the latest response summary?
Why cant I easily get back to the end of a thread and the unread posts?
Why cant the date of each post for todays date show how many mins and hours ago it was like it used too?
Why is there a dropdown for page selection and why is it not in descending order instead of ascending order for ease of selection?
Monday Update:
Just Anthony and me on duty today. Here's our plan.
Today we will be changing the theme. This would normally be a look and feel adjustment but we think it will affect things in a more fundamental way that helps with performance. Be prepared for it to look different by the end of the day.
The posting delay is our focus. It seems there's a known issue with wpforo (that's the forum software) that involves the sending of emails to users. ifor example when you subscribe to a topic or you choose to be notified when there's a reply to your own topic. It's possible that the delay is down to the forum waiting for all those emails to be sent out by our server before it refreshed the page. We are seeking wpforo support on that but we are also hoping that some changes we make today will, if not solve it, direct us to the solution.
As ever, I'll keep you updated as to how everything goes.
Hmm a post I made some time ago that I was expecting to show up seems to have vanished completely.
Well done Mark and co, this is a massive project for a small team to do. You're doing great - keep it up!
Agreed. And trying to do it while keeping the site (mostly) live & online is admirable. Whenever we do this sort of thing at work to the Production system, it's a weekend of downtime, with a team of 15-odd people involved. Batchjobs suspended, data interfaces disabled, hours of catchup afterwards, manual activities at the production units, and lots of stress, obviously.
Sorry - I’m rapidly falling into the ‘why was this released in this state?’ camp.
Can’t log-in
Can’t post
Can’t see posts
And no doubt my last 4 posts will now show up.
why was this released in this state?
Pretty sure that's been answered a few times already.
Anyway, for those preferring the method of "just shut the site down for a week or two until it's working", it may be better if you just take a break and check back here in a week or two? Better for everyone 🙂
