Finally got it running so that the chain doesn't slap, the cables aren't tinkling against the frame all the nuts are torqued to perfection...Bliss

Haha, I'm not alone with this...Am I? ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Not alone.

Out on the mtb yesterday, only noise as I went along was my tyres on the dirt, and the mud and dirt beneath them. Although that was almost drowned out by my gasping for breath lol

I think in my case it's more the alarm of a noisy bike! What is that creak/rattle/squeak, is something broken, and how do I make it silent again?

I have built up an old kona which is mostly brilliant. Except for the howling brakes and impossibly noisy cranks. This makes me dislike it very much.

Brake remedy will be tried tomorrow, will scratch head furrther on cranks.

Here's to a silent bike.
