Orange 5
ton your biased ๐
Klein attitude
The first Joe Murray designed steel Kona ... was it not the breakthrough that most modern HTs are based on (I think)?
Jeese orange 5? No ground broken there or overwhelming amazingness.
No such thing.

gary fisher rig, throw enough shit at the wall somes got to stick, how well do 29ers and single speed work together eh?
Sure it's a grand bike but what is really Great about an Orange 5? Certainly isn't worthy of greatest ever title.
Easy, GT Zaskar.
XC, DH, 4X... it does it all!
Pace RC200, Raced it XC and DH they didn't do 4x back then.
the one you have the most fun on
That JT photo is sooooo achingly cool it hurts to look at. He was just so piss-takingly good. "Oh high, yes, I'm just winning this XC race on a rocky, mountainous course with 1.8 inch tyres, crappy elastomer forks and drop handlebars - and in the meantime I'll just do a little crossed-up jump for the camera as I go past, hey ho.". It's that easy.
Back in the day (early 1990's) a very fast mate of mine spotted him doing a gentle warm-up lap around the British World Cup stage - was it Portsmouth? ... he couldn't even vaguely keep up with JT.
Tioga Disc drives. I don't really care if they were totally pointless. They just sounded like the coolest thing in the world ever, rumbling over the ground like a speeder-hover-bike ....and every bike that ever had one fitted was instantly the coolest thing ever. ๐
"The greatest mountain bike ever built - orange 5"
deffo time for bed lol.
Radical!! 8)
