HOW DID I MISS THAT!!!
Live assistance!?!? The future of brick & mortar retail? Abso-blummin-lutely.
On I go to stick things on a wish list, click the box, talk to Mark -mid 90's IRC chat style-, slot booked, goods reserved, money lined up, everyone's happy.
Oh! The possibilities for saving actual shops is phenomenal.
The telephone also works ๐

I didn't mean for me, I like talking. There's too much being said and not enough being done to keep customers in physical retail.
I'm paid for the pleasure of experiencing the decline 40hrs a week. We have had much feedback that shows people would rather just not bother talking to an actual person. The web assistance is innovative & hopefully many others follow suit.
It has proved very useful - especially in a city where we serve a lot of local customers working nearby, people in offices can't often pick up a phone to dial out for personal stuff so this helps heaps.
Plus it allows us to help people navigate on line and show them things if they are struggling to find stuff.
Has lots of other clever features we don't use yet but that's a different story.
See ya wednesday.
woah - i swear i read this exact thread last week??
