I think cyclists seek out community and will help out in groups where a similar camaraderie is present

This forums quite comunity orientated, for examples.......

*Where's Sharki (when he went for an epic walkabout without anyone knowing)
*Bullheart fundraising
*classifides freebies
*various "my bikes been nicked" followed by "the bike that STW built"
*pitchforks/bombers/shoe weeing/flaming torch if someones scamming in the classifides

I thought the 'build a bike for the autistic lad' thread was about as community orientated as things get. It was amazing and uplifting. STW helped to restore my faith in humanity.

Except the 'what tyres or' threads. They're a pain in the arse!
