Lotto Soudal should have Thomas de Gendt in there roster, this race is begging for a breakaway specialist 🙂

truce is called in the peloton

double as in he gets to suffer for 200km and then definitely not be in at the end ?

hard to see a sensible reason for sending him out, unless he really has pissed off his DS

moviestar (rumoured) send riders to paris roubaix as punishment and he's not on the roster for the tdf so it can't be cobbles practice 🙂

they're still concerned with punctures and wheel changes i guess. It's like 12 or 13 speed the whole peloton really needs to move over en masse to make any sense.

not that much braking in P-R, is there ? - especially if it's dry

Sad to hear about the Crelan rider being taken to hospital 😞

it's amazing at the end of a grueling race how closely matched the riders are on the flat.

Well then..

I really didn’t expect to see Sags win. I thought he’d be marked all the way through.

Great ride by Dillier, to be out there all day and finish second is a superb achievement.

Enjoyed that, a lot.

Pleased for Sagan - a "proper" win that, taking the initiative and battering on.  Dillier did really well, not even totally dropped in the final sprint

(I wondered if he was messing with a lockout at one point)
