A great host for a quad MR11 kit. or even a MCE using the stock optic

Mce in tecso C cell torch using tesco lens :mrgreen:
this has a good beam for a helmet light to go with your P7 floody bar light

What driver and battery are you using for the MC-E?

They look good.

Nice brackets as well, where are they from?

the driver is a 700 buckpuck I had lying around
battery 14.8 v lithium ion
bracket is a lumicycle one

This is such a simple build

parts needed are

tesco C cell torch £10 / £12 seems they have been cheaper in some tescos

series wired mce on a 20 mm star

700 ma buckpuck driver or driver of choice.

a small slug of aluminium for the heatsink

Will a cutter lens fit it?

it looks like it does, just checking.

and

I assume you drill and tap the housing for the lumi clamp?

BTW very neat and cheap.

looks spot on.

the cutter lens is a perfect fit will need a bit of silicon for waterproofing

drill and glue in a captive nut for the mount as there is not enough meat to take a tap unless you put a larger slug in and tap that.
which is what I have done for the quad cutter one.

:wink:not really my own idea Smudge did a cutter one before xmas
