Hi folks,
Still need to raise some dosh for the Sarcoma Trust/Bullheart MM team, so am proposing to raffle off some brand new bits for a quid a go.
I have some lock on grips, skewers and kid's gloves at the mo.
Anyone interested? Will get some bigger pics up if the idea isn't poo-pooed (or ignored!)
Alternative suggestions welcome.
cheers all!

Cheers Harry!
I was thinking like WCA did his Troutlites raffle.
Donation to Sarcoma trust, forward me the receipt and I'll pick 1 at random (1st, 2nd, 3rd prize probably)

Hang on for a bit, to see if there's enough interest.

To enter:

Donate your pound notes here: http://www.justgiving.com/TeamBullheart

Email me the receipt to
STWRaffle@gmail.com (this email set up for the purpose, normal email in profile for any other correspondence)

(You can add your preferred prize, but not sure how that'll work, might have to just go 1st, 2nd, 3rd)

I'll do the draw in a couple of weeks.

thanks all!

Well, the odds of winning a prize are bloody great at the moment!!

There must be more takers?

Not sure how feasible this is....But.....If the number of people buying a ticket rises significantly and brings some proper wonga to your cause, then I'll donate a voucher for 5 days guided riding for 1 person here in Tenerife worth 225€ (Excludes flights and accommodation!)

To make it more interesting I won't put an expiry on the voucher, so no problem if the eventual winner doesn't want to use it this year.

So come on....buy some tickets and make it worthwhile for me to donate this to DezB's raffle!!

Well there you go folks... you could win 5 days guiding in Tenerife for ONE POUND.

BUT... only if the prize fund reaches a certain amount... which I will agree with Potdog and post up soon.

There's a bit of a way to go yet... 😥

Many thanks to all of you for your staggering generosity. This week has been a particularly sobering one with regards to sarcoma, having lost two fellow sarcoma sufferers. We're a fairly tight-knit bunch, so any loss makes me more determined to smash this f*cking disease to bits. All the hard work of Team Bullheart members goes towards that goal.

Thank you all, truly.

So time to add something to the mix...

I have a brand-new old stock 2006 Haro Backtrail X24 BMX cruiser that can be won via this raffle. It was a present when I left my old job, but its never been ridden. Impress your mates by demonstrating gnar to the point of rad!

As a student I don't tend to donate money to charity...I have a 1 donation a year policy!

But this is such a good cause, so I've made my second donation this year!

Blimey! A Haro BMX? Am I allowed to enter my own raffle??

This is brilliant! 😀

However! The money donated has to reach £100, that is ONE HUNDRED POUNDS (not much really) before the Tenerife guiding or the BMX can be offered as prizes.

Will start a new thread listing all the prizes when I get a mo.

cheers all!
Dez

How about the likes of Brant (Ragley), Si (Progressive), Si (Cotic) etc? Maybe they'd like to put something into the kitty? A clamp, stickers, a badge? Thinking of stickers, Charlie of The Singlespeed Profanum?

One entry per quid donated.
Not sure if folks will want to have more than one prize; I reckon: more donated means better chance of winning - but only one prize per entrant. Make sense?
Draw will be the week before Mountain Mayhem. So 15th or 16th, depending on what day we travel up.

Sure does! May I suggest first out gets first pick, second out gets second pick and so on? Rather than !frst out gets this, second gets that" and so on. I realise it's more work for you tyring to co-ordinate, sorry about that

It's true.. you only need to donate a quid, ONE POUND, a hundred pence, and you could (and probably will) win a prize!
It could be a BMX! For a £1 donation to a fantastic charity.
How can you refuse??

This isn't a blatant bump - but a serious question regarding the prize awarding - how would folks feel about emailing me a list of their preferred prize order?
Then I could cross them off the lists as they're won and wouldn't need to wait for a reply to say which prize is wanted.
I think it'd work!
Lemme know!

(Also thinking of getting a few more little prizes in so that everyone wins something)

To keep it totally random how about two pots one with names and one with prizes. Simply pick a name then a prize and thats what you get.

Its not about winning anything but making a donation to a good cause, the prize is a bonus.

howzs about do the draw, if you get a prize you don't like sell it on classified and all money raised from sold items goes into the fund raising pot.

this is a blatant bump

Well, yeah - I mentioned this earlier - 5 tix will give you 5X the chance of winning something - but you only get one prize. That's pretty normal in competitions innit?
