wanted to have a play but need a tool. can i mod an allen key or is it a bit more elaborate?
a really long allen key
iirc its a reeeeeeeallly long allen key. You might fit an allen bit on an adapter on an extension rod from a socket set, but i forget how wide the inside is to get it in there.
Long allen key to reach nearly all the way down the leg.
From memory (as sold my forks and related stuff a 6 months ago)it is a pointy ended thing which helps you locate the hole and needs very little effort to turn. You need someone helpful to tell you what diameter allen key you need - I'd suggest it was in the region of 3mm (less than 5mm but more then 1mm). Anyone do better on accuracy.
It is 3mm and about 250mm long.
