Supposed to be heading to Swinley tomorrow but local trails are awful, Granny ring all the way and riding speed not much quicker than walking.
Would like to know before making the journey.

Anyone ridden there recently have any info on the post snowfall conditions?

tia.

Swinley is always good. Frost will keep it nice... Can't see it being bad.

Was fine last night, few areas of mud, but frozen solid so pretty quick in places. Although where it has been muddy, some of the ruts are now frozen making for some sketchy fun!

thanks for all the responses.

will be going during the day.

hasnt it snowed there then? local trails here are awful cos of partially frozen snow, cant get any speed up at all except where its melted or a forestry vehicle's tracks have cleared the snow.

I rode there Monday morning. Crowthorne, Seagull, Stickler, Tank, Wall, Toboggan etc. Fair covering of snow (4" to 6" at a guess), all rideable, but slower than usual. With the low overnight temperatures we've had since my guess is the snow is now harder making it a bit more of a slog. Still good though.

Rode there today and yes there's still a fair bit of white stuff around. Most of the trails are rideable still only I certainly rode a bit slower looking out for ice. The trails under the trees mostly have no ice but a little. Lots of permafrosted mud which is like concrete. Out of the trees and on some stetches of trail there is ice but just ride where it's more snow than ice and gan steady lad!
