This winter has just about killed the Rival 10 spd HDR groupset on my CX bike, so was tempted to switch it to 1X for next winter.
Question is, can i get hold of a single front brake/rear mech 1x 11 spd lever HDR lever, and make it play nicely with my existing HDR disc caliper? I can't see any reason why not, other than there's about a 3-4 year gap in the range. Since the brakes/levers are the only bits that stillย work, would make the switch a lot cheaper if I could buy a single lever on its own rather than the lever/caliper combo.
If it were Shimano, i'd imagine its just a case of buy the lever, fit, bleed and ride off. But Sram has a habit of complicating matters.
Otherwise, is there a way of retrofitting 11 spd internal gubbins to a 10 spd shifter to upgrade it that way, since as far as I can tell, the lever body is identical?
Cheers
