I’ve recently had my suspension serviced and made a couple of changes. The set up isn’t far off but when jumping the front wants to dip slightly, whereas before it was flat and neutral.
set up was
160 pike
DB inline
is now
150 pike
DBair il
I had read somewhere that this can be resolved by tweaking the shock setup, is that right? If so what should I be looking to do?
Cheers
Sounds like you need to speed up your rebound on the fork.
Slow down the compression on the fork or speed it up on the rear shock, unless it's not returning fast enough in which case wot cgg said.
Thanks both.
I do need to add more HSC as I'm blowing through the travel a bit too easily, is that what you meant?
I think the fork is set about right, but could fiddle with that.
I tend to get the shock feeling right, as that dominates the behaviour as so much more of your weight is through it, and then tweak the fork to match.
The Cane Creek app or field tuning guide will help you get the shock sorted. Then it’s a question of messing with fork pressure, LSC and LSR, to match.
Can you borrow a shockwiz?
I rented one for a weekend in West Yorkshire for £25. Sorted my issues out.
