Just got hold of my first ever full suss, just like to know is there anything I should or should not be doing with regards to cleaning maintenance of the pivots and bearings, what lube etc.
Cheers all
Let us know what frame and people will let you know what maintenance is needed. Most modern stuff is just ride until it rattles, then replace them, dont lube but keep clean. Your shock pivots are, most of the time, self lubing and very tight fit (just replacable bushes) and your pivot bearings are most of the time just sealed cart bearings - fit and forget*.
*dont forget not to jet-wash them.
Don't lube, don't clean, return to Marin every 10 years for bearing replacement under the lifetime guarantee.
Thanks to all, it's an 08 Anthem frame with about 500 pivots on the suspension system, ok, so maybe not quite 500 ๐
