Hi,

Riding in Surrey hills tomorrow and looking to work on my jumping technique. Where would be the best place to do it? Doing a holmbury / leith hill loop.

Been to quarry at leith hill once, would that be the best place?

Cheers.

Jump in the Quarry has been ****ed for 3 or 4 months now.

How big are you wanting to go? There's plenty of jumps about the Surrey Hills of varying degrees of amplitude and shonkiness.

Nothing huge, just wanted somewhere with a good selection. Will head to the quarry area and do some exploring.

Thanks

Dorking west jumpspot is your best bet. Its an old (ie a bit worn) BMX/4X area with lots of tabletops and a few roller doubles. We often go there when my sister wants a bit of jump practice before heading out to pitch etc via ranmore and holmbury.

Which quarry area? The one on Leith hill was destroyed many months ago.

Jumps appear where you build them.

+1 for the Dorking BMX area.

Probably the most condensed section you'll find.

Various other jump spots dotted around, including some (almost) opposite one of the known 'entrance's to Redlands.
