I want to put MTB 29 wheels and tyres on my cross check. Does anyone know how wide a MTB tyre will fit and where I can get some canti compatible and cheap wheels.

I think the biggest a crosscheck will take is around 45-48mm. Probably easiest to get some decent cheap road wheels. Unless you're getting extreme/ rather heavy they'll be fine.

could go a bit wider tbh but i wouldnt really want to with mud and flex etc
