[Closed] superlight bb thread stripped....options ?

just found the non drive side bb thread is stripped, it had hope bb with one spacer on non drive side, what can i get done to repair and whats the best type of repair ? cheers ! i want to keep the frame its great ๐Ÿ˜€

Send the front triangle (or the whole frame id it is not much more spendly and you are not using royal mail!) to BETD and ask them to firt a helicoil. A mate had them do his cannondale prophet (common on them apparently) and it was fine.

As a matter of interest, how did the thread strip? I've seen some pretty mashed up frames but so far, never a stripped BB

been using it through winter and the non drive side bearing had seized and took out the thread in the frame, have stuck another spacer in and tightened up the xt cranks and its usable for tomorrow at least ! its an ally frame...

BeTD did my prophet, no idea why it started, but the Hope BB came out stripped too. I kinda assumed mechanical ineptitude by the previous owners mechanic
