[Closed] Sun Equalizer rims - why did I just bend mine?

...and should I replace like for like?

I'm not that heavy or hardcore a rider, yet I've managed to totally pretzel my rear Sun Ringle Equalizer rim while happily bouncing off rocks on the way down from Stanage. I've never even come close to doing this much damage to a wheel before.

Is this just a one off, or are these rims, at 350grams, really just a bit poo?

Being a total tart, I can't cope with the thought of having non-matching rims, so since the front is a Sun Equalizer, I'm tempted to replace the rear with another one and hope this instance is a one off failure, but that's not really all that sensible is it?? 😕
