I am lookig for a wide fitting summer SPD shoe that gives good support, with a pretty stiff sole. The sole of my left foot was damaged by a dodgy cleat last summer and still gets pretty sore, currently using my winter boots which are fine but me feet are starting to get a bit warm.

Try the specialized bg expert, carbon sole is very stiff and BG inserts can be customised too

Yep, second the Specialized BG range, I have very wide feet and they fit me fine, sizing is about spot on as well.

another vote for Spesh BG here
May I also recommend Superfeet insoles as well - pricey but, imo, well worth it, great support....
