Having just replaced the drivetrain on the nice road bike, I've realised what a mess Squirt makes, think chunks of dirty wax all over the place.
So after some recommendations for a nice clean lube for dry road use.
Finish Line Dry is what I’ve always used and it does the job well.
White Lightning Epic Ride is my all-time fave, very clean stuff.
Using Finish Line dry for now though 'cos I got 2L of it dead cheap. It's OK but doesn't last as long.
Rock n Roll Extreme works well for both on and offroad wet or dry
I liked squirt off road but found it very dirty on road. Did read once, someone suggesting it was a static charge thing and it was picking up dead bits of rubber.
Anyway, I switch to smoove off road and it's been really good. Not had chance to try it on the road bike but don't see any reason why it shouldn't work just as well there.
I was recommended Pedros Ice Wax a few years ago on here and do find it very clean and effective in the dry.
I've got on very well with the muc off dry ceramic lube. It's effective and lasts a decent amount in dry conditions and cleans off easily when needed, so perfect for my summer race bike. It's another story if it unexpectedly chucks it down 2km into a 150km race however, so beware!
