Which cx tyres would You choose? Why? Where could I get them? Prices?
Thanks!
schwalbe land cruisers if your not racing because they are cheap and tough
michelin mud 2 if you are racing, they are light and grippy and roll ok
and then either some michelin jets or kenda small block 8's for summer use because they fast
thats what i have anyway
I'd like fast tyres for races. I have another (road) wheelset for training.
IMO tread matters little-the contact patch is so small there's **** all traction!
Panaracer Mach SS.
Al - shakes head.
I reckon it depends where and in what conditions you're riding. Personally I like Tufo Flexus Cubus 34s for grip, ride quality and survivability with original Michelin Mud for hefty slop. Cinder Cross seem to have a decent compromise between grip and rolling resistance although the SO has been happy with WTB Cross Wolf.
Racing Ralphs, you choose the size.
do not get conti speed kings, most puncture prone and fastest wearing tyres i've ever used
I need clinchers.
The autumn is wet and cold here, the winter is freeze, but there wasn't too much snow in the last few years. (But was a lot of ice, frozen dirt and mud.)
Yeah, second the Racing Ralphs - not at all as fragile as I thought they'd be.
