[Closed] Suggest a wide rim 28 hole

Looking to change my M1700 rims (22,5 ID) for some wider rims, something around 28/30 ID but want to keep my DT Swiss 240 hubs which are 28 hole.

Any suitable suggestions, price no more than £80 a rim? I was keen on the Spike Spank rim but they only come in 32 hole.

I've been looking for an hour or so and nothing is coming up.

If there is none readily available then I may look to sell on my wheelset but that's a last option really

They're probably all marked up as Race Face now

Any of the dt rims in 28h should let you keep the spokes.
Depending on which generation wheelset they may be 350 hubs, bit still super solid.
M for lower price, xm for dropping some weight.
Pick your width

Ah yes, they are 350 hubs and not the 240’s. My mistake.

Cheers guys, for some reason I didn’t think of getting DT Swiss rims! And I like those arc rims too.

the dt xm481 is a good allrounder rim with 30mm internal

Factor in new spokes with those eastons as the erd is 558 vs 565 for your current M442 rim. Straight pull too so most LBS' around me only carry single butted blanks that they cut to size.
The xm481 just 2mm different and comes with new alloy nipples and phr washers.

Look at the DT M 502 rims, they come in nicely under budget, they're the same rims that come on the 30 mm wide M 1700's.

They're a more traditional eyeletted rim and unlike the XM481's don't need special nipples so they're a bit heavier but cheaper as well.

Whatever DT suits your width requirement and budget. The XM and EX models are excellent.
