good effort chris, not an easy one to film with just one static camera, must sort my helmet cam out for the next ride so we can combine footage.

cheers Chris and all! a great intro to me of some of the peaks trails. Sounds like a shame I had to cry off early at Aston, but at least that leaves more for me to discover another day 🙂

Scott Genius you lucky thing.

That ride absolutely killed me - slept 13 hours on Saturday night. Still feel a bit ropey now. Still, should be reet for the 11th

I'm good for April 11th 🙂

GPS systems are notorious for over-stating total ascent

My Forerunner doesn't measure it though

Still, it felt like enough climbing to me 🙂

Ok - this is the bikehike.co.uk stats calculator results....

20.42 miles

Total Ascent: 3437 ft
Total Descent: 3364 ft
Start Elevation: 790 ft
End Elevation: 795 ft Elevation
Min Elevation: 527 ft Gradient
Max Elevation: 1507 ft
Back

I might have made the last click not quite bang on Edale but all the others are bang on! It's just taken me ages

😀

with the gps the 4554ft was total ascent only.. but this does include every little upward movement inc every dip and rise and standing from sitting etc. and every wobble noggin !! 😉

just got to have the right connections.

Although I think some of those going up Mam Tor would debate 'perfect weather', what with the gusts sending at least 4 of us flying!

I was walking on Saturday and saw a big group of riders over Win Hill - guessing it was you lot by the number of Inbreds. Sounds like you had a good day, so I'd be interested in a route map if anyone has it.

Thanks

Cracking ride on saturday, thanks Chris for organising it and for everyone who made it such fun.

Legs are repairing better than I imagined they would on saturday night!

I only took 1 photo of a certain someone stuck in the mud...how do you upload to the forum?

Should be up for the one on the 11th April too 🙂

Ive just remembered me riding off towards Fairholmes and stood on my tod holding the gate open before realising we'd be doing the Hagg farm descent 😕 then furiously peddling back and down!

Whats happening with the chappy who ran into the back of that Golf?

I think the quote of the day was "I'm just going to go back to Edale 'cos I'm knackered", "so are we", "oh, which way is it", "over Mam Tor"

😀

I had no trouble eating - got up Sunday lunch time and went for a proper sit down burger with a side order of ribs.

But yeah, eating off the floor probably wasn't the best idea

My sincere apologies for not making it, the bike was in fine fettle after discovering that a chainring bolt spanner is just the right size to do up HTII end caps.

Unfortunately, the bike had been unwashed in a bike bag for 6 months and about 2 hours after fettling had finished on Friday I was struck down with the mother of all virus's, something had obviously been breeding in there.

Spent Friday night sweating profusely and drinking litres of water (8 pints and still had piss the colour of brown sugar! By 2 AM I had the worst headache I've ever experienced, a pulse of 110+, and every (I'm not kidding, even taking a dump hurt) muscle in my body was aching.

Looked like a top ride and I'll try and make the next one.

Funnily enough, that's how most people felt after the ride too.

badger, we were out for about 5 hours, but with a large number of riders the inevitability of a number of repairs was set!

I don't have a route map, but i do have a GPX if that'll do?

So......the sharp route ALSO had a fierce headwind 😳
