Can the slow lass come again? I'll supply cake!! Calderdale sounds ok, me and Cath did the Bronte Big K ( and the Big One!) last year, so won't be partaking again, life's too short.

PS My bikes now fixed so I won't be looking for maintenance chaps!!

I might be up to this one finally - or at least I could do part of it and then duck out depending on length.

Another vote for Hebden Bridge from me.

Eskdalemuir/Same y Ling from Moffat

Now that sounds good and gets my vote.

Some hiking through long grass required, may not suit some ๐Ÿ˜•

Coffe & cakes with the Monks will be.

Quite a bit of forest road involved so not a super techy ride, but it is a long day out ๐Ÿ˜† depending on which way we go.

Cool - will add to diary (wasn't that the same date-ish as last year?!?!) ๐Ÿ™‚

I'm easy, any of the 3 fine by me as I've not done any of them before!

Calderdale. Big day - Hebden > Jack Bridge > cheeky multiple choice to Hardcastle Craggs > up to House Of Sh*t and over the tops to Widdop > Gorple Road > sheep track > Long Causeway > Whirlaw Stones > golf course and excellent descent to Eastwood. Then either climb back up the same side of the valley and head towards Heptonstall and finish on cheeky that side OR up to Mankinholes and along London Road and finish on cheeky into Hebden.

What I'm trying to say is I'm in for a Calderdale ride.

Or... do something down my end of the valley, south Halifax stylee. The hidden mountain bike mecca ๐Ÿ™‚

Can do Tony. Parking... hmm, anywhere central. Big car park right in the centre probably best as then you can shoot straight up San Francisco as a 'warm up' and on up to Heptonstall before dropping down to Hardcastle Craggs. Loads of options for parking in and around Hebden though and I think its only 20p on a Sunday anyway.

Quite happy to act as a guide.

Have a good ride guys - got to work on the 19th ๐Ÿ˜ฅ but will be OK for 'Kirkby Stephen - The Return' on the 10th October - a whole month earlier than our attempt last year!

Johnny how you doin?

still floating?

[img] [/img]

of course being in Chorley the weather will not be quite so sunny.

So thats everybody at Hebdon except 'Johnny no mates' who will be attempting a mammoth tour of Rivvy solo.

Have you asked Lowey if you can ride on his land? you Know he gets all arsey about it. ๐Ÿ˜†

For a proper Northern route I recommend this one.

there are a couple of good add ons to extend the route.
