It's about time we did another. 10:30 from The Bell in Shurdington (GL51 4XQ).
As always, social pace, hilarious banter, possible pub stop, definite post-ride pint. Route TBC, either Cranham or head out towards the Green Dragon.
Bit cheeky I know but could you sound them out about a group of you coming down to the Big Bike Bash in August? It isn't that far and it would be nice to see you guys again and meet the ones I haven't met yet.
We can possibly do a group discount and the event certainly fits with your ride ethos.
email me for group discount details.
Cheers
Nick

Hiya,is the ride still on? If so a mate and myself would be up for it,always looking for ideas for rides fairly near to Brum!
Yep, still on, although it's not really that near to Brum...
Anyway, more the merrier.
Actually, I should ask folks to use the playing fields car park, not the pub car park (they're next to each other)

There goes the neighborhood ๐
might be there, depends if i can amass enough brownie points for a pass before sunday ๐ฏ

I know, it's bad enough with those buck-toothed, socially-retarded delinquent gypsies from Evesham coming down here.
urghhhhh
Count me in too 8)
What sort of ride will we expect IHN?
I know how you feel lookmanohands!
Don't think I'll be able to make it ๐ฅ
B*gger - too short notice, otherwise would have come. Hopefully next time.

True it's not really near to Brum but it won't take long to get to is what I meant ๐ See you Sunday
Should be there, knackered my back last week though and supposed to be 'taking it easy'

Slow, dull, lacking in any redeeming features. You'll hate it.

hope to join you but depends on my 10 week old son - he is holding the pass cards at the moment ๐
I'm keen to join you guys. Live in Shurdington (by Cheesrollers), but don't know the area very well, so would be keen to find some new routes and ridding buddies.
mtbscoop - I used to live by the Cheeserollers ๐ Anyway, come along.
IHN - That's great. I am just getting back to fitness following a lengthy period (20months) off the bike due to knee ops. So I may not last the whole ride but I'll certainly try given the possibility of a post ride beer.
See you Sunday.
Saturday morning bump
See you all in the morning 8)

What?
Sheldon actual exists?
I thought he was made up by niche bike manufacturers so their bikes looked like someone actualy rode them.
Stu, I meant sheldon is rumoured to herald from those parts.
I thought he only existed in the minds of "nichewhores" and wasn't a real person at all.
He may exist in a french A & E this week.
What with alcaholic poisoning from a small bottle of Frenchpissbeer?
Afterall he aint going to hurt himself pushing his bike down a nice groomed trail. ๐
I hear he toppled over after his filet de mignon as the chef carelessly used brandy butter by mistake. A 7.5 ton ambulance with a winch was called. Hope he's ok.
Were greenpeace present to throw water over him and play soothing music until high tide arrived?
Does that go to eleven?
You attending this one stu or just hijacking?
Come on now swedey boy you know i don't even own a bike never mind ride it...
Longminge carpark at 10.30 though if you want some 'ills.
True, just a shopping trolley and some other cheap tat. Think I'm out on the darkside now as can't be arsed to drive any where. Sorry si. May change my mind though. May not.
"cheap tat"? nah not even that good.
Worse than that? Surely not a maverick?
Good to meet you fellas, and lady, and dog.
The last five miles home finished me off...
Good to meet you too IHN, Del & Mark.
Still grinning from the last descent 8)
Thanks for a 'bostin' day out and hope to catch up with you all again soon.
Smudge
So where did you go?
I nipped out for 90 mins round Cranham at 8am this morning and boy is it dusty and loose up there!!! ๐ฏ
B
Pub, Crippetts, Leckie, Seven Springs, Cobberley, Colesbourne, Cowley, Leckie, Sandy Lane, pub ๐
And in my case, home, pub, pub, home too ๐
Mark - was going to mail you but there's no address in your profile.
Anyway - http://www.ashtonmtb.co.uk/index.htm
There's a contacts page and a diary, drop Brian a mail if you're going to go along to a ride (and/or drop me one and I'll let you know if I'm going)
Guys, thanks for Sunday was good to meet you all.
Simon, thanks for the info. I won't be able to make tomorrow's ride but should be ok for the following Tuesday. I'll update my profile with an email address too!
I ended up having more drinks than I should have after you guys left!
Simon, thanks for the excellent ride yesterday, lovely part of the country ๐ Good to meet Del and Mark, Marks good lady and of course Barney the gravel eating dog!!
Barney "the gravel eating dog" was unsurprisingly sick during night - not a nice way to start the week, and I'd like to say he's learned his lesson, but he won't have.
he must of got 'stoned' ๐
