Anyone know when the Sturmey Archer S2C hub will be available in shops?

A two-speed hub with kick-back gear change and coaster brake. A little back-pedal changes the gear (from high to low, or low to high) and a big back-pedal engages the powerful brake. Sounds fun!

Cheers!

ohhhhhh, if they can make the brake even remotely quiet I'll be very interested.

Hi, The S2C is due in the UK in the next week or so. Get to your LBS & ask for one now!

Well, the wheel turns full circle. My Raleigh 20 had a Sturmey setup like that in ooh, about 1970.

Agree except for the 116mm spacing. Have asked Sturmey Archer about 135mm adaptability but no response yet.

Also weighs well over a kilo. Have to ask yourself why.
