I've been over there a bit recently and have been mostly around Surrey Hill and the trails that lead over that way. I can't remember where the other stuff is, where else is good? can anyone give me a few quick directions to the new bridges etc, I even heard talk of a see saw, as I'm going there tonight?

The only seesaw I know in the area is over on Tunnel Hill, but there's nothing else worth riding down there so probably not worth bothering.

The Stickler (the one with the wikid awsum bridge - gnarr to the maxx) is easy to find if you just ride the 'wrong' way up the tank traps trail then do a left/right shimmy at the end. If you can't find the tank traps, head West down the fire road from the manhole cover above the jump gulley, about a hundred yards after the fire road on the LHS look on the RHS for some concrete blocks, then go up the grassy fire road to the right of the gully & join the trail from that. Probably best not to ride the gulley the wrong way though as the step at the end could be a challenge!

Once you get to the end of the stickler you can turn left & left and head to the Star post for the Seagull run, left & straight on takes you in the direction of the upper star post then over to the crowthorne side, a right turn crosses back over the main run down that you're probably familiar with, or just turn round and go back and do it again (then the tank traps)

He's trying to put you off visiting TH (I hope) because there's waaaaaaaay more decent tuff in that area than Swinley can dream of. But you need to know it. Or someone that does. 🙂

Or.....

<fireroad>Cycle up from the car park until you get to the Devils Highway. (sign posted) At the devils highway turn right and cycle down it.
When you get to a locked steel 5 bar gate with a side gate to the right with funny pivoted bars to stop MX'ers you've gone 30 feet too far. Backup 30 feet and look left (if you're still facing the gate, look right if your back is to the gate.)</fireroad>

You are now at the start of Seagull. (it crosses fireroad but its obvious where to go)

When you get to the end (big concrete block) come out onto the fireroad and turn right. You are now at lower star post.

From lower star post if you look back up the fireroad you've just come out onto you'll see 4 roads to right.

The first 2 are a bit like a V shape is a bit take the 2nd road. So not back up the one you've just come down not the next but the next one (Windsor Ride is it's name and I think it's sign posted)

<fireroad>So you're now back on fireroad follow this unitl another car width track crosses it and turn right, the start of Stickler is about 100 yards on your right</fireroad>

Down through Stickler round the berms over the bridge 🙂 and when it spits you out onto fireroad 15 feet on left is the start of Tank Traps.

Do want you want after that 'cos I'm sick of typing

Must be getting to know swinley better because after 3 reads I think I understood this.

The problem with describing things in swinley is there are multiple similar features.

As well as the tank traps at tank traps there are also tank traps at the end/start (definitely feels more like start to me) of the seagull run.

Also you twice mention gullies. There is the jump gully and the tank traps gully.
