Trying to work out given the 314 spec how much I could reclaim if I stripped a 314 down just for the frame and sold all the parts on. £600 ?

Why not a 214 if your just after a frame?

I think that comes with a different rear shock?

Also, the 214 is a garish red - the 314's silver is much nicer.

Probably about £600 yeah.

I bought a 214 and sold most of the bits. The rear shock doesn't need the propedal switch though, the suspension system is so taut anyway.

It's true the 314 looks nicer, but I've come to love my Kit-Kat/Coke bike now despite initially thinking it was a bit lairy.

You might get a discount on a 214 too, seen them offered cheap in a few places now.

That's about the price I'd seen. Got mine a bit cheaper but only because the shop was stoppng dealing Lapierre.

I sold the fork for £150 and the wheels for £75 - upgraded shifters, crank and cassette at purchase and added some of my own kit.

What spec you going for?
