Just carrying out a straw poll on what the consensus is on the most popular / best Cotic frame color.

I have a medium sized Cotic Simple which I'll be selling soon but it's going to get a nice fresh powder coat before then.

What's your favourite color....answers on the back of a post card...

Bright orange (Pantone 1655C) is The One True Colour.

I 100% agree. not such a fan of gritstone though

I wasn't keen on the gritstone but I think that's because you cant see the decals. I think it would look better with normal ones.

That is why my lovely BFe is in Cyan.

BTW Cy what a brilliant frame you have designed. I think it may be my favourite ever HT frame just pipping the MK1 Evil Sov.

Like the gloss black myself, closely followed by the orange.

What were you thinking with the new Simple? It's magnolia/green/granny's bathroom colour?

If it could be had in that ace green from the preproduction Solaris, I'd be ordering one right now.

Orange all the way. It's the fastest colour. (as us KTM owners can testify)

Ah good stuff, it had to happen - your colour preference makes you an "all the gear no idea numpty".

So reliable.

Having recently taken possession of an orange Solaris I'd have to say its damn fine. Definitely the nicest of my bunch.

I'm still taking a green one come July though...

Orange, no contest.

I first saw a Cotic when one was wheeled out of the Bike Work's back room while I was in picking up my own bike. It was an orange Cotic and I took one look at it and knew that that was the colour bikes should be.

I never did manage to get an orange Cotic, I had to settle for a black one when I had mine as the orange ones had sold out. I did get my Orange 5 in orange though and last year I got Argos to respray my Chameleon:

Honourablegeorge: The next batch will have the green instead of orange.

Due in July apparently.

Or so I'm led to believe. And yes, mine is on 'pre-order'

Now I'm tempted. Although I can't really afford another "build up a hardtail with parts form the shed" affair, because it turns into a "build up a hardtail with parts form the shed and maybe some XTR cranks and some new carbon bars and those new brakes from Rose Bikes and.....and...."

That's why I was interested in the Simple - to keep it...er...Simple. Would love that in the green.

Custard was a YS Taiwanese paint colour. That was nice actually. That might be due a comeback.

Green Solarii in July definitely. Changed the order a couple of weeks back. No plans for any more Simples for the moment. As usual with our SS frames, they sell way more slowly than we expect/hope.

My very old grey Soul needs a respray. Is it wrong to do it in a non standard colour? Cy - will you let slip the Pantone of the Solaris green?

Wallop - do it any colour you like. It's your bike! You can even get custom colour stickers from our original sticker printer if you're feeling fancy. The green on Jenn's bike is Pantone 376C.

Honourablegeorge - just built up a Simple and it follows the same predictable pattern of "just" improving this or that and still ends up expensive!

It's orange which is very nice but for me the tea / coffee ones were the best. Especially the coffee ones. Cotictastic.

Colour?? Surely you should be asking what colourS?

And since you ask, baby blue and pastel pink in a linear fade stylee with custom decals to boot.

Sadly no longer mine ๐Ÿ™

(sorry for the crap pics, I can't find anymore)

brother has a blood red cotic soul that he has said he would respray lime green for years, a bit like that proto solaris - reckon he's just going to buy the green solaris instead though!

Always liked the Custard colour, 'specially with silver kit.
That Bfe blue is lovely too, both make the bike look nice and light, somehow. Powder pink or a light mint green would have the same effect I reckon.

If anyone has a small Custard Soul frame for sale, drop me a line.

Ta.

Thanks!
