I'm just wondering if there is any way of getting an overall distance in a specific time frame from the rides recorded on Strava? So I could check how many miles I did on a particular component (crankset, cassette, tyre, etc).

Or is a "manual labour" the only option to calculate it?

In the "my gear" section you can add components to each bike, then you can log when you change them.

Obviously doesn't work if you change tyres frequently for different terrain/events

Oh, I didn't know this! It's exactly what I need, thanks 🙂

I've popped component fitting dates on against some of my bikes in the past but basically gave up bothering in the end... Apart from keeping track of the mileage on my commuter bike's tyres.

You can also track the distance covered by a pair of running shoes and stuff like that...

I can imagine it being useful for anyone keeping a keen eye on drivetrain component wear, but TBH I can't be arsed myself...

I do tyres, chain, cassette and BB on their. Only for the commuter though, and really to make sure I don't change something too early.

previous BB did 8645.9 miles, hopefully this one will be good for at least that long. It's almost exactly half way though its life if so.

If you use something like veloviewer.com with your strava data, you can slice and dice your data to find out all sorts of things - and I use it to help track component life (just keep a list of fitting dates).
It is a small subscription fee extra, but if you love tracking and analysing stuff its great
