Well done all, i'm thinking of you's up there as i sit here wi a whisky in front of a roaring fire 😀 , done it once before on rigid ss and it almost reduced me to tears, in fact it would have but my tear ducts froze solid for the entire race.

Guy up to second now, one lap down though on Jason in first place riding a rigid SS - fantastic effort!.

I hope it isn't as windy there as it is in Edinburgh. Wishing I'd done this now... next year...

Not much wind. Been raining on and off for the last 8hrs or so. Best weather at a puffer in a long time, if not ever.

Can also report that at 6am the track was slippier than a teflon coated icy fire road even with ice spikes i had to tripod down the hill fire road descent

Its looking like a tight race between on one and profile racing
Brant and Shaggy have dragged back a 25 minute deficit to a couple of mins

Yep, just looking at it now. After my nice warm sleep in a comfy bed. 😉

Big respect to everyone doing it, looks marginally less insane than normal weatherwise but still proper hardcore. Great to see the two Chris Bell teams going so well too.

Jason is late in for this lap. Hopefully a calculated slow down and not some 11th hour issues. 😕

[edit]He's through![/edit]

Don't think he can be beaten now!

That a north Manchester IT company has such an amazing bunch of talent is wonderful.
Mega props to Team JMC and all it's many riders that utterly dominated puffer.

I've been following Dave and Jase's amazing training programme, fitted in around full time jobs. Early morning and late night rides, and Dave could barely walk earlier this week.

And thanks from me to Shaggy (and his wife and Dad) for putting up with me.

I have absolutely no idea where that Shaggy pic is taken. Inspite of being able to visualise almost every rock and root on the course.

I rode the first few laps in daylight and it was all totally alien. In my head the course is always dark!

Just back home after my 4th Puffer. Have to say that apart from all the ice (nothing can be done about that, all part of the Puffer fun) that was the best condition I've ever seen the course in. Big congrats to all those involved in setting up and running it. Mega friendly event as ever.

Warm batch, cold beer and comfy bed await.
