Second ride on my eBay Stache cheapie and unlike the first Sussex ride, this was in the Lakes = gashed Chupacabra rear tyre on Garburn. Tubeless tractor spunk seems to be doing it's job, but I need some tougher tyres.
I am large, ride with little skill or finesse in Lakes.

Dirt Wizards?
WTB Rangers?

Oh and it's a Stache 5 and the forks really don't hold up to chunky repeated hits. 32mm Machetes...
I've run some Dirt Wizards (120tpi) tubeless for over two years on the edge of the Peak and had one puncture in that time (and that was something pointy and metallic in a farmyard). I'm not that heavy a chap, but I am clumsy, so they can stand up to a fair beating. The Lakes are harder on tyres than round here though, so I dunno how DWs would fare up there.
Minion DHF front and Chronicle on the back. They've withstood all the flinty trails around here. I've cut up a lot of sidewalls over the last few years, but these seem to be doing well so far.
The Vee Tyre Trax Fatty I have on my spare Alfine rear wheel seems to be tough as old boots too.
Oh, and I'd sell the Machetes and fit some Manitou Magnum Pros - they're a massive leap up in performance. On sale for less than half price at CRC currently...
I just fitted an XR4 to the front of mine which seems pretty good, by feel the sidewalls seem pretty tough (much more so than the chronicle on the rear).
Also, +1 for the magnums, cracking fork.
Either 60tpi Dirt Wizards or 60tpi Minions. Both pretty bomber.
