stopping carbon bar...
 

[Closed] stopping carbon bars slipping

my bars are slipping in the stem, ive torqued them to the correct amount and am afraid of going ay further as they be £170 bars!

Anyone got any perls of wisdom / secrets on how to stop this other than super glue!!!

I use Pace carbon assemble compound but a few other companies make similar stuff.

Tacx Carbon Assembly Paste/ Finish Line Fiber Grip will see you right.

Edit: or the Pace stuff!

tighten them up much more, then replace them with alloy bars.

£170!!! though, WTF were you thinking?

Syntace carbon paste is good but have you torqued them to the correct level ?

I use carbon bars on everything and never had them slip.

£170 to joe public.. £65 to STWers, as if id blow that much on bars, c'mon guys i'm a regular on here which means im tight as f#@k
