Grrrrr... really riles me up this, they're so obviously fencing stolen bikes, right?? So how come they're not getting busted by the Police? ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ˜ก

Anyone interested in some form of STW inspired mob justice? ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

Seems to know a little about bikes. Unusual for gumtree thieves (at least in Notts it is)

Worth reporting to Gumtree I guess (you can report each ad)

Have you reported this to the Police as 'suspicious activity'?

Same number, yet 3 people using it? 'Wayne', 'Ash', and 'Craig'?

Does seem highly suss, unless they're simply flatmates or something just using a simple PAYG to avoid giving out their own numbers.

I always try to believe someone's honest, but this seems well dodgy, have to say. Reasonably literate and believable write-ups. Prices that would seem reasonable for legit bikes. Possibly fencing stuff? There's loads of young scrotes round here who haven't a clue, and are barely literate, but who flog stuff to fences who then flog it on. The fence can only be done for handling at worst, and very often get off without charge. It has to be proven that they knew the bike was stolen.

Sadly I doubt the plods will do much, although five bikes seems a bit odd. Do you seriously think the police have the resources to spend hours browsing the internet for the off-chance stolen bikes might come up? The local Babylonians are pretty overstretched and not particularly good round here as it is.

But hey; you've done the detective work, you have your suspicions, so now it's your civic duty to report a suspected crime. Easy to come on here and say 'does this look a bit iffy', but if you don't actually act, then there's no chance anything will be done about it at all.
