Excellent evening at Sheffield Hallam last night for the 'Conversation with Steve Peat' What a top all round bloke. He was obviously a bit nervous about speaking in front of a large live audience but he soon warmed up and received enthusiatic applause. Nice to see the Worlds runs on a huge screen!

Glad it went off well, was hoping to make it but ...

Really is a true hero of cycling.

Clearly nervous, nothing groundbreaking, but great to be in the presence of a proper legend with skills and style for miles.

Was he being interviewed or giving a talk? Having briefly met him at Fort William a couple of times (for autographs!) he seems pretty down to earth and not one to cash in on his celebrity status (unlike the Athertons, who I also like BTW but for different reasons).

Part of Hallam's celebrity chats line up.

They get in a 'celebrity' figure and interview them in a sort of formal/casual way.

Mixed in with videos of race runs, photos etc. Sort of 'this is your life' kind of affair.

Free too. Top notch.

It was a very entertaining night - and the question and answer session was a little less awkward than at the Seasons do at the Showroom.

He did a wheelie when he dropped into the stairs and a skid at the bottom...

Awesome!
