im in the market for one,i was goner get a mmmbop, loved the handling, geometry, weight and speed but it was just way to harsh when it got rough,so started looking at the blue pig,and decided not to worry to much about weight
then i started looking at the chromags, they are beautiful bikes but bloody pricey, the price doesnt really matter but is it worth it
any pics of both and ride reports(weight) i know i said not bothered but cant help me self
or any quality steel frames to think about,i do like to get me head down and chase me quicker mates but also want to enjoy the downs
Can i throw the Transition model in your head....
We dont sell em - saw them last week though.
Very nice.

Eh? A Bottlerocket is a suspension frame, not a hardtail. Anyway, the Transition TransAm is indeed a looker!

Custom Curtis, a little bit more than the Chromag Stylus (CRC have the Stylus going for under £500 at the moment in a large size) but worth it. Have looked at the Chromag Samurai but frame is about £900, nice frames but a lot of cash.
+1 for the Transition Transam, nice looking frame with good angles, from memory I think they work out about £450 - 500 imported direct from Transition.
i think im goner go for a blue pig,its not much to lay out and if i dont get on with it ill rethink,i think i trust ragleys way of thinking, brants never made a bad frame
Not biased but:

Only one ride so far which resulted in a big crash but by heck, before that, the ride was superb. Very flickable and fun to ride. Built to take a real beating yet I found it more compliant at the rear than the RM Blizzard, probably due to bigger tyres on it - up to 2.7" btw!!.
😀
if you don't have money to burn get a 456 if you have plenty of cash get something prettier. I wouldn't have got my 456 if I had more money.
its not the cash, its does it ride better the chromag is pretty but is it better quality,if it is i will buy it, just a shame i cant ride both bikes on the same bit of trail
