Dragging mrs ws and dear daughter up there tomorrow, is parking a plenty for spectators, whats the best time to get up there etc
Plenty of parking in the official field then a short walk across the road to the venue. We have always thought that the bomb hole at the finish has the best views and atmosphere but the full course is good for spectating. Practice finishes at 11.30. With the main event starting with the rippers. Abigale is no 413 so get the kids shouting.
Was speaking to my bro-in-law yesterday. He's had a sneak preview of the course and says the berms/switchbacks towards the bottom are running very, very fast and he expects a lot of excursions into the rough on that section. I wouldn't stand there with a little one if I were you. Last year we stood near the gap jump for a bit, then above the bombhole. Both were good spots.
If you see a harassed looking blond fella with a cheeky very blond little lad on his shoulders, it's probably me. Say hi!
I'll be around snapping pics between runs.
Green kit and a cap
I'll have a pretty blonde in tow, and the wife ๐
We will be taking Fin our Collie as well as Abigale.
