My mrs comes riding down the towpaths near the Mersey with me in Stockport and we do the Middlewood Way too. Just want to take her somewhere with little bits of singletrack, see if she likes it. Any suggestions?

Cheers

Not sure about any real single track locally but the Clayton Vale blues are fairly gentle and fun for beginners.

I've been to Clayton Vale myself, didn't realise there were blues. Might have a look into that. Cheers mate.

There's a light blue and a dark blue, I think the light blue is the easier of the two.

I took the missus and she enjoyed it apart from the couple of dickheads riding quads on the trail. Probably best going early!

That's the problem with Clayton Vale, I won't ride there alone.

Thinking Delamere might be worth a shout too.

Delamere's only any good if you know where the singletrack is as the only waymarked routes are forest road. Personally I'd take her to Philips park (there's a nice little blue in the bottom of the valley) or to Gisburn forest and do the blue there.
