Heading down there next week for the week. What's the best bike to take - road or mtb?

Road bike every time. Not a lot of MTB in Pembs, but some wonderful (and lumpy!) road riding.

yeah road bike. unless you want to drive to the preseli's i wouldn't take the mountain bike.

Take both. Stop off at Brechfa on your way for some MTBing and then use the road bike whilst you're there. Not much MTBing in Pembroke itself apart from some in the Preselis.

Unless you want to et up early for some cheeky coastal path action then it's road I'm afraid.

Road everytime in that part of the world, unless you want to take on the walkers on the coastal path!
