Tempting, but it might be smack at the start of the cross season, as much as I like my singlespeeding, cross is boss for me.

So is this a race then or not? Do you have to ride singlespeed?

I don't have a singlespeed, would I be welcome?

I doubt you'd be welcome even if you did have a singlespeed.. ๐Ÿ˜€

Tom b. No....its not a "race" as that limits the areas we can ride..it happens to be a waymarked event with prizes for those that are very very fast and maybe even sort of quicker than everyone else.. ๐Ÿ˜‰

However..it is a single speed event..and the uk champs..so no gear dangly shite and expect the course to be hard with big mincer bail outs for those not wanting to dive into tech bits too much

It's a balls out elbow sharpening lactic fest of a race disguised as a weekend of ale and talking shite.

Arm fully twisted, I'm clearly going to have to go for the other tactic and stay drunk...

I might just have to force myself into some training for this.

First training ride is planned for next week, 20 miles around the FOD with "stop-pints" at 10 pubs. It's a sign I tell you. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Serious for a moment. Will motor homes be acceptable on the campsite?

Another SSUK which is not actually a race? I don't like the idea of 'racing' on open trails - surely you are just going to piss people off?

Well this passage seemed to give me the impression it was a similar format to 2013 - not that it wasn't fun from what I heard.

No....its not a "race" as that limits the areas we can ride..it happens to be a waymarked event

If If that's not the case that's great.

Another one to add to the loughborough contingent here - not yet sure which bike/frame I'll be on - but it will be singlespeed and homemade to some extent - I promise ๐Ÿ˜€
