It's in the Midlands and will include:
Camping, Curry as the free post race meal, nice beer from a selection of local micro breweries, music and lots more to be confirmed..but most importantly some tippy top singletrack, nasty climbs, beer short cut and it'll be well racey for fast boys* as it is the UK champs after all.

* and well bimbly for those who want just have fun without vomiting a lung

we already have some awesome freebies for the goody bags and prizes that really are rather shiny! ๐Ÿ˜€

IN.

After my epic mechanical bodgery, face braking and drunk nature reserve riding this year I will be bringing a more professional* attitude next year.

Ace, it's in the FunPlanner. Turns out the other half's in Boston with work, good for her! Shame she'll miss it, but I'm sure she'll get past that.

I don't think either of us will miss the conversation about whether she's allowed gears, though!

it will be worth mentioning now, that this will be the only single speed ever, where I will mainly be
a: sober (ish),
b: acting like a responsible adult
C: not riding

planning to makeup for it at the SSEC and SSWC instead ๐Ÿ˜€

[slow handclap] I was wondering how long it would be before the Midlands boys ****ed up their attempt at hosting the event and, low and behold, they've only gone and done it with the choice of date! .....before the frickin' event even started [/slow handclap] ๐Ÿ˜‰

I'll look forwards to the 2015 event instead then.

I've had a year or two off so I should have worn off the hangover from the last one by the time I arrive.

PS the midlands is in the south of England. Sheffield is about the halfway north-south point.

PPS

b: acting like a responsible adult

Not sure you're that good an actor

5-7th of September? Sounds good to me...

And with the speed things are going with our house move, we might have actually moved in locally by then!

Well, hello! ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

D'you know what? After several years of avoiding events (think last SS race was a SSEC) I'm going to put this forward to the committee.

I'm in. Unless there's another human-bovine hybrid taking part. Because that would shaft my niche-factor considerably...
