Does anyone find going back to gears after SS'ing weird.
I use my SS/rigid for commuting and local rides, but I have built up a long travel HT for bigger riding and tried it out proper last night.
I had no real issues but found myself staying in one gear most of the time.
I did the same on the FS.
I commuted on the geared this morning and again had no issue, but tonight it was weird. I was knack'd from work and found spinning more effort than grinding the SS out.
Any thoughts.

Yes. Put it in a higher gear so you aren't spinning?
a section of my commute is 250ft climb over a mile/mile & half
im happy to ride it on my SS 700c but hate it on my hardtail*. The weight and tyres trick me into dropping down through the gears and as a result im climbing for loads longer.
*riding up a road on an mtb, serves me right
A sensible reply, thanks. Praps its the tyres etc etc.
I have put it in a higher gear, but again it feels weird.
Serves me right I suppose for riding it to work when it is more suited to gravity biased trail stuff.
Put alfine on the 'other' unit for riding to work to make it easier 5 days a week.Took me a month to realise I'd only changed gear about 3 times in total.Sold it a bit later.I think I've lost the ability to use gears....
