Is there a generic version of this type of clip available?
It's different from all other E-clips I've found, in that the bent side allows it to be removed without the use of pliers. Took me a while to find out what they're called, I don't know if there's a different or more specific name for this style, or it's specific to SRAM. The internal diameter is 1.97mm.
I haven't lost mine, and even if I had I wouldn't be inclined to buy the genuine pin & clip for £6 or a pair of genuine pads which includes both. Just would like a spare, after a "ooh, that thing almost disappeared" moment.
