Changed the chain on a bike the other day and threading it through the rear derailleur I noticed that the jockey wheels are split, they are on a 2010/11 Sram X9 mech, they have thin spokes rather than a solid design. Anyway, what to replace them with? Looks like the proper things are £22 to £25 and that's a discounted price, is there anything cheaper? I'm wondering if a set for X5 mech wheels would fit ok, surely all jockey wheels are the same width? Or are there any aftermarket one's that are reasonable price. Just seems a lot to pay when I could get a new X5 mech for about £27

SRAM jockeys are pretty expensive though I wouldn't get an X5 mech. Basic quality  Though you can get X5 jockeys for £11. Not sure they're any good or would work with X9 etc.

I go for CNC jockeys like those from Uberbike. Still not going to be super cheap but durable and shed mud better, in my opinion.
