disassembled bike ready for morzine. Unfortunately has to take gearing off to fit and inner cable has frayed. Not an issue but was going to order and couple of inner cables to take with me. Will a normal shimano 1.2mm inner cable fit or need to be SRAM specific? Also where does the cable feed in and out of the shifter can’t seem to see anywhere. Tia

Any gear specific cable will work ok.

To fit you remove the shifter from the clamp or brake mount, undo the central bolt on top of the cover and you will see where the cable runs when you push the old one out.

Here is a link to the shifter page on Srams web site. You can download the manual from there.

Thank you mrpeaski. So a standard 1.2mm shimano inner cable will suffice? I’ll check the link now thanks

Yeah, just replaced a couple of Sram and Shimano's on my bikes with Clarkes universal gear cables from Halfords cost £2 each.
