Changing the brake pads and all went well with the front but I can’t push the pistons in far enough on the rear. The bikes been in the loft for a couple of years and I had problems with the dropper but a full bleed sorted it out. Do we think a bleed is in order for the brakes as well?

I'd start with releasing the bleed screw on the lever and letting a tiny bit of fluid out as you push the pistons back in. It could probably do with a bleed if it has been sat around for 2 years though.

Had the same with mine. A thorough clean of the caliper then lubed the pistons. It worked fine for a while after but ended up needed new pistons and seals in the caliper. Easy to do and worked like new after.

Get a SRAM / Doddy bleed video on youtube. Thing which made the difference for my Guide brakes was the span and bite adjusters being set correctly pre bleed. I'd forgotten this and the video was a good reminder.
