Anyone know if the above would work?
got a spare GX AXS mech and a GX 10-52 cassette and wondered if I could fit them to my gravel bike if I got a Force AXS 12 speed shifter?
That’s what I’m using. Works great.
(All AXS stuff is compatible with each other)
Yeah i'm running rival AXS STIs with a GX mech and 10-52 cassette on my gravel bike.
Got me up out of Cornish coves with light bikepacking gear on.
Rivan eTap with GX AXS here, spot on, what Tom said
Cool, does it need to be a 12 speed AXS road shifter or can I use a 11 Speed one?
Needs to be 12 speed. I'm running Rival Axe shifter with a GX AXS mech.
All AXS stuff is 12 speed.
(Etap is 11 speed)
Didn’t think there was such a thing as a 11 speed axs road shifter? The only etap road shifter that sram made in 11 speed was old red 11 speed. The shifters don’t work with axs mechs (although the axs shifters work with the 11 speed mechs)
All AXS is etap, but not all eTap is AXS
Ok so i need a 12 speed AXS Force right hand shifter
You need left and right. There’s only one button per side.
Or one side and a reverb controller, I guess?
Or a blip box, 2 blips and keep your existing shifters!
though I wouldn’t recommend that personally..
I wouldn't bother with a set of Force shifters unless they are super-cheap; Rival is practically the same weight (20grams difference but that's for shifters AND calipers, so shifter difference is negligible..).
Or a blip box, 2 blips and keep your existing shifters
don’t you have to plug a blip box into a shifter?
So i need both shifters as you cant shift up and down on one shifter like you can with mechanical Sram Force and Shimano Di2 etc...?
