I need a spare lock ring for my xo1 12 speed 10-50 cassette but I'll be bu$$ered if I can find one online. Does anyone know if an 11t lock ring would fit and if it matters if its a sram or shimano one?

I'd be inclined to try some if you have any lying around. Should be very evident if they will fit or not.

Other than that, it might be worth a call to a few lbs to see if they have one laying around or, more likely, can try and order one from sram?

Edit: sorry, tired at the moment, is there even a lock ring on the 12spd??!

That was my first thought. I'm only on 11 speed but the SRAM and Garbaruk cassettes I use on XD drivers for those don't use lock rings.

SRAM XD cassettes don't use lockrings, once you strip the (quite fragile) spline/teeth the cassette becomes scrap.

I've got a scrap 11 speed cassette at home, might see if its possible to pull the centre out and transplant it.

Just taken the cassette off and the lock ring is indeed integral to the cassette. Doh!

Careful when refitting I partially borked a gx cassette by letting the tool slip on the cassette splines. Doh!

Make sure you use a cassette tool with nice deep splines, shallow ones will just bend the internal teeth on the cassette
