Is there any problems associated with running an SRAM 10 speed chain with shimano groupset (gears, crank, cassette etc)? Will the chain slip, or wear quicker?

Id prefer to use SRAM because the powerlink system makes it easier to make chain repairs on the go.

Cheers

Is there any problems

Nope. I'd consider KMC though, better chain link if you intend to reuse it, and many seem to praise their durability as well.

You will die by exploding instantly.

Not really - it'll be absolutely fine.

I'm by no means an expert as my first 10 speed groupset is on the way to me as I write, but from the tiny bit of research I did before purchase it seems that Shimano chain + KMC connector link is a popular combo. I think an SRAM powerlink will also work with a shimano chain. KMC chain is also another option (they apparently make Shimano and SRAM chains anyway).

Do SRAM do powerlinks for their 10 speed chains or are they all the single-use powerlocks?
