I love my music but am in a bit of a rut, havent bought much good stuff in ages. Poring with rain, trails gloopy.....is Spotify going to cheer me up? Some of you lot swear by it.....
It's just radio over the internet, you can choose your own "station" based on genre and time period, or search for stuff you know but seeing as it has a free, relatively unobtrusive, add supported version why don't you give it a go? [url= http://www.spotify.com/en/download/ ]Download it.[/url]

spotify used to be great... now there are like 5x more adverts and everyday its becoming more geared towards premium membership. I don't think you do need an invite but if you do let me know.

That's not how I see it (your description sounds like Last FM)...it's a massive library of music which you can search and add to your playlist so you get to chose exactly what you listen to and when (I wasn't even aware of it offering 'stations') i.e. the way I use it does not offer suggestions
If they dropped the price a little I'd move to premium subscription.
